UPDATE:and just like that, everything can change

They are pretty confident that it is just scarring in his lungs, ( from a bad cold he had last fall where he would cough so hard he would throw up. They think he may have had pneumonia) and nothing serious. We will of course follow up but we are breathing a little easier now.

When he called me and told me that they had found something in his lung, an entire life without him flashed before me. Not something I want to experience.

Yesterday I posted about how well things are going, and I had put off posting about it because I didn't want to jinx anything. I should have just gone with my first instinct.

Steve had a physical yesterday for his job, and because he is a welder they do a chest x-ray as a benchmark because he will be working around poisons, asbestos, gases and other toxins. In his chest x-ray they found what they described as a "splotchy white mass" in the lower lobe of his right lung. At this point we have no idea what it is. If could be any number of benign issues, like scarring or nodules....we just don't know. It could also be lung cancer. He is not sick, he doesn't have any of the symptoms of lung cancer, but.......we just don't know what it is.

They want to speak with his PCP to see what he thinks of it. They want to compare it to an old chest x-ray that he had done when he had stage 2 Seminoma testicular cancer back in 2005.

I am hoping and praying that there is nothing wrong with him. I just want him to be alright. Please say a prayer for him.
